Guess what, I am ONE!

So on my actual birthday, December 19th, Mommy had another snow day (her third one) so we got to play together all day. Then my family came over for dinner. Mommy likes big parties (without presents -WHAT?), and Daddy just likes presents. So I got to have two parties. One on my actually birthday with Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunties, Great Aunties, Uncles, Great Uncles, and of course my God Parents (my cousin Jake came too, because he's too old to come to the other party). I got presents at that one. Then two days later I had another party with all my friends (not everyone could make it due to another snow storm though). This time all the toys went to kids who needed them this Christmas. They went to the Marysville Food Bank so when people came to pick up there Christmas food basket, they could pick up a toy too if they needed it. Yeah! At my second party we decorated cookies and listened to 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, that Mommy's friend Jamie read to everyone. Too fun! Now that my birthday celebrating is over, it's time to get ready to celebrate Christmas.
I got my own Quad (Grandpa Jerry) and a little radio (Aunt Shelia & Uncle Jody). I can already drive it really good, the steering on the other hand can use some work.

I also got a wooden rocking - no not horse - Harley from Grandma Mary. It is just like my Daddy's, a Soft-tailed Duce. His is purple too, but not quite this shade and no pink.
Mommy made everyone eat in the FREEZING garage, because she wanted us to all be together. Ah, the things she does for me.

Did you know that on your birthday, you get to wear a crown all day?
I'll put up the pictures from the Cookie Party soon. I will be pretty busy now that I have a membership to the Everett Children's Museum -thanks to Papa and Grandma Diana.
Happy Birthday to me!
I love you,

My first Build A Bear

Since I am my Daddy's little "Honey Bear", mommy and daddy thought it would be fun to build me a Honey Bear from Build-A-Bear for my first birthday. We went on Sunday, December 14, 2008 and it was very snowy so we were the only ones there. Daddy took awhile to choose the perfect one. There was something about the noses that daddy was being particular about. That Daddy. Anyway here we are:
Me and my unstuffed Honey Bear
Daddy's knee is on the pedal making the fluffy stuffing go into my bear. Next Mommy, Daddy, and me choose hearts and did a cute little ritual to be sure that my bear would be extra special.

Then they wanted me to give him to a stranger to be put in a box. No way.
No one is putting my Honey Bear in a cardboard house.
I will hold him thank you very much!
So far my birthday celebration is off to a fabulous start!

All Better in Time for Turkey

It was terrible being so sick. Daddy was very sad. Everyone was thrilled when I returned to my usual happy self. We went to Grandma Mary's for Turkey Lunch and Grandma Diana's for Turkey Dinner. It was a very busy day. I had fun at Grandma Diana & Poppa's house because I got to see family that I have only seen a couple of times. It was wonderful!
This is my only girl cousin. Her name is Kayla. She is turning 22 this month (and I am turning 1). She's very busy being a Senior at WASU so I haven't got to spend very much time with her, but she promises me that we'll go shoe shopping together when I get to start wearing big girl shoes.
This is me with Dakota and Jacob.
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family, friends, and of course Abby Cadabby (Did you see her balloon on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? I didn't because I had to go down for a nap. Mean Mommy. Daddy made her feel bad that I had to miss it! I've got that Daddy under my spell!).

My First Trip to the Emergency Room

Ok, here's the story. I got sick. That's right, not the little baby spit up kind, but the big girl heaving kind. It was just me and mommy (around 6:30 pm) and she froze, so I had no choice but to puke all over her and the carpet (unfortunately we were in my room). We got all cleaned up and calmed down (thanks to our neighbor Amanda for coming over and helping) and I was a happy camper, crawling and laughing like normal so mom thought it would be okay to give me my bedtime bottle. Guess what happened next? Yup, out it came (and then some) all over mommy (again) and her bed. I know you're wondering why didn't she run to the bathroom or grab something for me to puke in? Please, cut her a little slack, it was her first experience with her baby barfing. Then daddy came home, mom told him but I don't think he quite got it. So I went to bed and the dry heaves began. Daddy freaked! We called the on call doctor (didn't call back) and we called Grandma Mary (she rushed right over). I was still heaving so off we go to the ER (9:30pm).
Well they don't mess around when it comes to babies, so they put in an IV and took blood. In the end momma says it was the most expensive bottle of Pedilyte ever. So after the magic of some anti nausea medicine and Pedilyte we were sent home (2:00 am).
So we are home today resting and snuggling.
Please keep in your prayers the little babies in the ER with me last night that didn't have such an easy recovery/solution. There was a little baby there who was going to Heaven...
Lots of love, and promises to stay away from the germies better! I'm still blaming mommy's fifth graders.

Splish Splash MaryAnna's takin' a bath

Funny Face
I'm gonna climb out.

Daddy calls this the shallow end. I'm allowed to play in this end.

Rubber duckies, I'm awfully fond of you!
I hope you get to enjoy a soak in the tub like I do. It's very fun and I sleep like a baby afterward.

My first time to the Everett Children's Museum

I'm driving a bus just like my Poppa. I'm telling the people on the bus to "move on back, move on back"... By the look on my face, I don't have the patience to be a bus driver.

My first time to the public library.

Look at all the books I picked.
Look at me go!
This place is great. However, Daddy won't let me chew on any of these ones. He says "germs" but that's okay, books are fun even if you can't stick them in your mouth.
Mommy wants me to remind you...read, read, read.

Voting in My First Presidential Election

Yup. I did it. I voted. I know so because they (the nice ladies that volunteer - Mommy says when she get's older she's going to be one) gave me a sticker that says so. Mommy says that only in 2008 in the US would we be dropping our ballots off at a Starbucks and not a sterile cold gymnasium at some ancient school. Anyway, I do not have to tell you who I voted for because it's only my business and I can vote for whomever I want (Mommy says that's my right and people worked really hard for me to have that right), but being that Abby Cadabby wasn't on the ticket (this year), I had to vote for my second choice and I'll give you this hint - I am a VERY HAPPY GIRL TODAY!!! WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD I GET TO LIVE IN. I think I was born at just the right time. Oh, happy day.

My New Prison

Please release me.

I promise I won't eat the dog food or try to swim in her water bowl again.

I PROMISE!
Somebody help!!!

Mommy's School's Harvest Party

I went to my Mommy's School's Harvest Party. It seemed like fun, but I wasn't too sure. Lucky (our doggy) told me about a time that mommy put her in a bunny costume and she just froze and became "dogatonic" (instead of catatonic). She told me that it worked for her because mommy took it off her really fast. It didn't work for me, I had to wear it for two hours that night. UGH. And I'm not sure why daddy's making that funny face, it's not like he's in a bunny costume or something.
Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

Daddy didn't let me help very much.

My friends, cousins, and me
(Charlotte, Grace, Brady, Tyler, Nathan, and Austin - somehow Micheala missed the picture)
It's been a long day.
(my pumpkin's on the right - it's Cinderella's Castle)
I hope you got a chance to carve pumpkins with your family too! It's very fun.

Me and my daddy at the Petting Zoo (yes there were real animals too).
I'm not sure about this.

I loved riding in the wagon. It was very fun!
Happy Fall!
I love all the pumpkins and decorations.
I'm into pointing and I'm pointing at all this cute stuff!

Chores Already?

Mommy made me help with dishes.

Just kidding. I pulled myself up all by myself! I'm getting pretty good!

I love my dolly!

This is my new dolly. I love her so much! I sleep with her every night and play with her everyday. When I'm done with my bottle I put it to her mouth and feed her too. I'm a good mommy. I pat her on the back when I hold her, just like my mommy does to me. Also, I make sure that Daddy kisses her goodnight and tucks her in just like he does for me. I hold on to her and take her in the car every morning, but I don't bring her inside to daycare because the other little girls might be sad that they don't have a dolly like mine so we buckle her up in the car seat and off she goes to school with mommy. When mommy picks me up I smile so big when I see my dolly all safe in my car seat and I can't wait to get her in my arms again. I hope you all have a dolly to snuggle like I do. It's the best!

I'm nine months old.

Poppa feeding me.
Me and my cousins (Brady, Tyler, and Nathan)

Me and my (4th) cousins Fred and Cathy from California

Hello Everyone!
Yup, it's true...I've now been out in this wonderful world the same amount of time that I was in my mommy's tummy. Crazy. Before you know it I'll be one!

September has been pretty busy. Mommy went back to work and I go to daycare. I have a lot of fun there. There are lots of kids for me to play with (and doggies too). I've been a pretty happy camper. I have had my first cold though. Mommy and Daddy were sad about that.

We had a nice visit from some of our family from California. They use sign language and since mommy's been teaching me some she was hoping I would finally use it and impress them, but I'm not ready yet. Maybe next time.

Daddy had his 20 year high school reunion (mommy says that makes him old :) ) so I had a sleepover at Grandma Mary's. It was fun.

I also had dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Garner's the other night. I'm still eating baby food, but it sure looked yummy. I can't wait to try it.

I'll tell you more later. It's a school night so I gotta go.

My Day at the Park

We went to my friend Aiden's second birthday party at Jenning's Park. I've been there before, but I've never played there with my Daddy before. He was a little hesitant to put me in the swing, but with a little reassurance from mommy he did and it was so much fun! I hope you make time to play at the park. It's what every grown-up needs.

I grabbed my diaper bag and headed for the door. I knew it had everything in it that I would ever need, so I'm all set. I'm running away to Grandma's.
