Father's Day

We began the day by taking Grandpa Jerry (Mommy's Dad) to breakfast at IHOP. Then we all went to the Children's Museum in Everett. Here I am serving Grandpa Jerry an ice cream sundae.
Me, Daddy, & Grandpa Jerry are playing in the airplane. This was fun since both Daddy & Grandpa work for Boeing.

Then me & Daddy did the remote control car obstacle course.

Then for dinner we got dressed up (here's Daddy helping me with my shoes) and met Papa (Daddy's Dad) and the rest of the Garner's for dinner at Olive Garden.
It was a very fun day!

Dance Recital

This is my last year being a spectator (hopefully) at the Dance Recital. The theme this year was "Circus" so Mommy dressed me as a dancing Giraffe (in case this circus needed one). The Circus act was so fun. I am still talking about the clowns & elephants. They were so cute. And I loved when the big kids came on after the little elephants and "cleaned up the poop" in their hip-hop number.
Grace came with us to check it out. During intermission I went on the stage.
I can't wait until I get to dance on the big stage!
Me and Miss Missy. She was dressed as Puck from "Midsummer Night's Dream". That was the theme for the ballet. I'm not use to Miss Missy with horns so it threw me off a bit. I loved the butterflies and when the man got turned into a Donkey. Miss Sue put on another great show!

Memorial Day Weekend at Suncadia Resort

This was our first "Hotel" vacation. We were all very excited. It is located in Eastern Washington, in Cle Elum. Mommy wants me to tell you that although there is no pictures to prove that she was there, she was, and had just as much fun as me and Daddy did. Love Pool Time! Get ready for a big jump!

And a Big Splash!I don't remember what we were talking about but it looks like a great conversation!
Daddy "crying" because I told him that he is TOO BIG to play in the playhouse with me.

Daddy wouldn't take no for an answer. He kept trying to sneak in.
I'm getting very frustrated so I'm yelling to mommy to help me get daddy out!
He may be too big for the playhouse, but he's perfect for pushing me on the swing!

They had arts & crafts night, so we made this mosaic stepping stone for our yard. We did it all together. It was so much fun, except mommy & daddy kept reminiscing about some fireplace that they "mosaic-ed" when they first started dating...blah, blah, blah. Daddy had to do this grout part, but me and mommy did do a lot. And yes, we are all sweaty. It was in a ballroom and those lights were hot! It was very funny how sweaty we got just doing arts & crafts. I didn't think it was that strenuous.
Nighty-Night.
Please notice that my parents brought ALL my blankies,
because they weren't sure which one I'd want...

MaryAnna Mae

Little Big Girl Bed

Look at me, look at me! I'm a big girl! Mommy and Daddy took the side of the crib off and made me a toddler bed. Of course they often threaten to put it back on as I am still "testing" my new found freedom. I do love it though! Mommy loves the sound of my little feet walking in the hall in the morning (only if it's after 7:00 of course). She says that I am getting too independent though. Sometimes I get up & get dressed, take off my diaper & put on a pull-up, open the fridge & take out the milk, or turn on the TV & watch Dora...just to name a few of my morning activities I may do while Mommy is frantically finishing getting "ready".

This bed is only temporary, though, because soon I will get a "real" big girl bed. Mommy says that as soon as we don't need the changing table anymore then we'll have more room for the bigger bed. I'm working on it!
Nighty Night!

Lil' Gym with Daddy

Mommy signed me and Daddy up for a gymnastics class. It was on Friday mornings for an hour and it was for four weeks. We had so much fun! My Daddy was a gymnast when he was younger so it was special to do this together. Some people thought Mommy was crazy because there would be trampolines there (Daddy's broken neck history), but Mommy wasn't worried because this was "Lil' Gym" so she knew that Daddy wouldn't be able to go too crazy.

Sesame Street Live

They turned the street in front of Comcast Arena into SESAME STREET!

It was a very fun show. Abby is still my favorite although I was very intrigued with Oscar during the entire performance, and since he just sits in a can all day he didn't have a very big part which I found very frustrating so I had to ask Mommy, "Where's Oscar," about 5,239 times. Well, I wanted to know!

My first Fishing Derby

Every year they have a Fishing Derby at Jennings Park for Kids. Daddy thought I was too little last year, but not this year. I was so excited. We even went to the store together to pick out my first fishing pole. It's a Dora the Explorer Fishing Pole. The weather was terrible.
Daddy had my fishing pole all lined and ready.
So as soon as I got out of the car I was off and running.
Look out fishies - here I come! They stocked the lake so there were some really BIG fishies in the lake. Daddy was surprised when he saw some of the big ones kids were catching.

I didn't have a lot of stamina to stand there (in the cold and rain) and hold the pole. Some of the older "grandpa-like" fellas, that were there to help, were disappointed that I wanted to quit so early but hey, I'm only 2.
Now that we know what it's all about we are ready for next year and I WILL catch a BIG ONE!
Happy Fishing,

Fancy Hairdo

For Easter I got lots of new beautiful hair things so I wanted to try them all out at once. It was fun playing beauty parlor with Mommy. You should have seen her hair too, it was lovely!

I was sad when we ran out of hair before we ran out of things to put in my hair.

Earth Day

Daddy and Me planted two little trees for Earth Day. Grandma Mary actually gave them to me for Earth Day 2009 and we've kept them alive (at times that may have appeared debatable) in a pot. We decided it was time to plant them. And to date (3 months later) they are doing wonderfully.
What did you do to celebrate Earth Day?

Tip Toe through the Tulips

I'm going to "Tip Toe through the Tulips" at Tulip Town in Mt. Vernon with my Mommy and Daddy. Look what I found - my shadow. It was very fun to play with.
Mommy and me at the first batch of orange tulips (mommy's favorites).

Daddy and me by the purple ones. The purple ones are my favorites.

Mud and my shadow? Now this is a fun place!
My Family!
Me!
I hope you got to see the Tulips this year. It is very pretty. And if you don't have "Tulip Town" near you, feel free to come with us next April. It's worth the trip!
