Aquarium
We took Grandma Anna & Papa to the Aquarium (in July). We were so excited. They haven't been there forever.

Princess Class
I got to take 3 princess classes at Alderwood Dance Spectrum with Miss Sue. I was so excited. We weren't going to do it this summer as I am only 2 1/2 (and wearing pull-ups) but Miss Sue said it was OK so we did it!
Here I am walking in on my first day. Look at me in my Leotard & Tights. Mommy was near tears at the sight.
What is Princess Class you ask? It is when we sing, dance, & act out the story of each Princess. My first class was Snow White. Here we are doing the "Hi-Ho's" part. They must be strong because I cannot get this shovel over my shoulder.
Here I am with Miss Sue asking the magic mirror, "Who is the fairest one of all?"

Recess Monkeys - My Favorite Band
I love the Recess Monkeys. They are the best. I first heard their music on my 2nd Birthday so I was very excited to hear that they would be doing 2 shows nearby this summer. It was a bummer though that they were back-to-back.
So for the first show, I took my Daddy. He likes their music too.
It was very crowded since lots of day cares and summer camps came.
But on the next show, it was a Friday night so I brought my friend Grace and my cousin Tyler. Well, Tyler brought his friend Byrd so we had a double date. It was so much fun. I danced lots. Don't tell Daddy though, I don't want him to be sad that I had more fun this time than on our date.

Me & Grace dancing!
They played at 10:00am in Everett so he could go.
Mommy bought me their CD's so now we listen to them ALL THE TIME! Mommy says that she even hears the songs while she's sleeping. She's lucky! Oh, and Recess Monkey's was just featured in People Magazine and they got more stars than Sting. I don't know what that means, but Mommy says that it's very impressive!

3rd Summer of Swim Lessons
I was very excited to see that my swim instructor was Jordi. She was my teacher when I was six months old (my first swim lesson class). We had a great time this summer. Daddy did all of the classes with me except one (he always lets mommy have one turn). I tell Mommy that she has to "sit on the self" and watch us.
Daddy would take my toy and throw and then he'd make me swim to it.
We discovered that I've gotten tall enough to stand on the "table" and not be underwater. I loved playing on the underwater tables.
We also get to play with water toys. Clearly, I'm looking for something in particular.
I also learned that if I lay on enough noodles, I can swim by myself. Mommy called me a "Noodle Hog" and told us that we should share, but Daddy said I didn't have to because I was having fun. :)
I am very sad that swim lessons are over, but Daddy promises me that we will go to open swim more often!
Love,
MaryAnna Mae

3rd of July at Big Lake
This is my 3rd time going to Big Lake for the 3rd of July. We go to the home of Bryce & Donna Cook (Miss Christy's Mommy & Daddy). They are very special to Mommy, Daddy, and ME!

Jewel Concert
Mommy & Daddy took me to see Jewel at a "Zoo Tunes" concert at Woodland Park Zoo. Mommy & Daddy saw Jewel about 8 years ago at Bumbershoot and had a great time. They credit that concert to when they first knew that they loved each other. Awe! Since I now love the Jewel lullaby CD they thought I'd enjoy hearing her live too.
Here I am trying to scope out where we should set up. I want the perfect spot.
Mommy had lots of "tricks" up her sleeve to keep me entertained during all the down time. Like this new book about the zoo, tokens to ride the carousel, a picnic dinner, cookies & milk, and my animal coloring book & crayons. I wore my guitar pants since I was at a concert.
