My Day at the Park

We went to my friend Aiden's second birthday party at Jenning's Park. I've been there before, but I've never played there with my Daddy before. He was a little hesitant to put me in the swing, but with a little reassurance from mommy he did and it was so much fun! I hope you make time to play at the park. It's what every grown-up needs.

Don't Make Me Mad!

This is how I feel about mommy going back to work on Monday!

Beating the Heat at Club Mary's

It was a hot one, so the whole family enjoyed the pool (even Lucky). I hope you're staying cool this summer.

Sweet Dreams

I promise, I was very comfortable! Try it sometime!

I'm outta here

I grabbed my diaper bag and headed for the door. I knew it had everything in it that I would ever need, so I'm all set. I'm running away to Grandma's.

Too Cute

Mommy was putting my toys away (it was my bedtime), but it looked to me like she was playing with them so I gave her this adorable look hoping that she would spring me from lockdown and let me play too.

Walking with Grace

Every morning all summer my mommy walked four miles with our neighbor Amanda. Me and her daughter Grace (5 months old) went along for the ride. Yes, I know what your thinking. Why is Grace all bundled up and I'm not? Be sure that as soon as my mom took the picture, she put my hat and blankie on me.

Wye Lake

Mary and Bill's Cabin
Wye Lake

Me and Mary Sunday morning

Me and Bill getting ready for our afternoon nap on Saturday.

Daddy read to me and Kat ( she picked out the story :) )
Hello Everybody! Guess what? I went camping for the first time. Mommy says it's not really camping since we slept in a cabin, but that's the closest we'll get to camping for awhile. Anyhow, it was very fun and everyone said that I was a very good girl. They kept telling mommy and daddy how lucky they are to have such a good girl. The cabin is on Wye Lake in Port Orchard. It belongs to Mary and Bill (two very good snugglers - Bill snuggled me before nap time and Mary snuggled me when I woke up in the morning). Miss Sue, Miss Christy (& Rob), Kim (& Tim, Alex, Nicky, & Kat), and Marjy all were there too and I loved all of them! Mommy and Daddy have some great friends! Oh, and Daddy caught three fish. He says next year I can fish too. It was a two hour drive, but I slept the whole time (both ways). The weather wasn't good enough to go in the lake but it was still nice. I had my exersaucer right among all the lawn chairs around the campfire. So I fit right in with everyone. Kat was very nice to me and played with me lots!
I hope you got to get away for at least a weekend (or more) this summer too.
The summer went so fast. I can't believe it's almost over.

Story Time

Since Daddy has been working so hard (he's roofing again), I haven't got to spend very much time with him during the week days (and remember I was used to having him all to myself once a week for 8 hours), so I miss him very much. So we got the idea that he would take over story time at bed time. I look forward to it all day. Just me, my daddy, and Lucky. Every night we read a different story (sometimes mommy has a recommendation). One night she had Daddy read me The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. It was so funny. Daddy laughed the entire way through the story. Lots of the story's are about mommy's love, so Daddy says we'll have to get some about daddy's love. Last night he read Go Dog Go. Daddy did lots of funny voices. I'm a lucky girl!

More Firsts

Hello Everybody! I hope you are doing great. I know I am. You know why? Because, I'm growing up!
I'm in a big girl car seat now. No more infant carrier for me. Do you know what that means? That means I get to sit in the grocery cart and sit in high chairs when we are out and about. Mommy says it adds a whole bunch of new challenges, but I think it's great (except when I'm sleeping and have to be woken up to be taken out of that darn thing). Mommy did lots of research to find the safest carseat and because it is so safe, it is quite a fandangled contraption. I'm sure I'll have it broken-in in no time. It's amazing what a little drool and spit-up can do.

Also, I'm crawling. Not the on-all-fours with my tummy off the floor mind you, but the using my arms with all my might and dragging my lower half across the room like I'm in the military crawling. Hey, it works. Lucky is not enjoying the fact that I am more mobile, but it's not my fault that her tail fits perfectly in my hand and I just want to give it a little tug. For most of my toys, that's what I'm supposed to do, and isn't Lucky my toy too?

I also went to my first Aquafest parade.
I loved the marching bands and did not like the loud trucks. Mommy's friend, Pat, organized the parade and she did a fabulous job!

Some other big news: I slept away from home for the first time at Grandma Mary's. I did great and so did Grandma Mary (mommy and daddy made it through - although by 9:00pm they were ready to get me back).
Well that's all for now.
Love you lots,
MaryAnna Mae
