Every year they have a Fishing Derby at Jennings Park for Kids. Daddy thought I was too little last year, but not this year. I was so excited. We even went to the store together to pick out my first fishing pole. It's a Dora the Explorer Fishing Pole.
The weather was terrible.
The weather was terrible. Daddy had my fishing pole all lined and ready.
So as soon as I got out of the car I was off and running.
Look out fishies - here I come! They stocked the lake so there were some really BIG fishies in the lake. Daddy was surprised when he saw some of the big ones kids were catching.
I didn't have a lot of stamina to stand there (in the cold and rain) and hold the pole. Some of the older "grandpa-like" fellas, that were there to help, were disappointed that I wanted to quit so early but hey, I'm only 2. Now that we know what it's all about we are ready for next year and I WILL catch a BIG ONE!
